ABOUT  HUMBERSIDE  SPORTS  ASSOCIATION

The association was formed in 1955.  The original clubs playing in the Bowls section at that time were Blackburn Welfare, Earles (Melton), Elloughton and Brough, Ferriby (North), South Cave A.B. and Swanland.

There are now 15 member clubs all based in East Yorkshire including Blackburn, South Cave and Swanland from the founding members of the organisation.  A list of the clubs and contact information can be found on the Member Clubs page of this site.

All clubs play lawn bowls on flat greens.

The Association run two pairs divisions and two triples divisions usually from May to August each year.  A number of knockout competitions for members to enter over the summer months are also usually organised.

All of the clubs involved welcome new members.  If you would like to try your hand at bowls or perhaps return to this great sporting activity, then please contact your your local club.
